1. Why should I add users to my fave-list?
You can ask for a recommendation from a specific user only if he appears in your bud list. Keep this list populated with users that have common tastes and share interests alike.
2. Why should I join a group?
You can ask for a recommendation from all the users in a specific group only after you have joined the group. Keep this list populated with groups that appear to have common tastes and share interests alike.
3. What is this "stop recommeding" feature?
This feature is available so you can weed out your recommend list of recs you never wish to accept. A movie that you refuse to watch for whatsoever reason, a restaurant you think would never fancy you, etc. This helps keep your rec list fresh so your next choice will always appear at the top of the list. Recs that you favour, but just not for the moment, tag them as plan to visit, and they will also be removed from your rec list, and added to your pending visits list.
4. How can I get myself on the Most Active list?
At the end of every month, the user with the most reviews in the last month is recognized and will be awarded a prize. Keep writing reviews for a chance to see your face on the list.
5. Do I get anything for giving good recommendations?
Yes, eventually. my nexth is continually tracking recommendations as they are accepted by users. We are looking for a way to reward the rec'ers for their invaluable recs; for the time moment, giving a good rec will have to satisfy enough.
6. How do I find my next recommendation?
Select a theme from the header, currently restaurant or movies. Set any parameters you feel are necessary and simply click Locate. my nexth will run a match process with the existing users, and recommendations will appear momentarily. If your rec list is empty, you most likely have not entered any reviews as of yet; please begin my rating some of the popular items which always appear at the bottom of the rec list.
7. What is the purpose behind the green and red circles on my recommendation list?
After the match process, all users will have their own set of items that they recommend. But some matching users may dislike what another matching user is about to recommend. They communicate this by giving you a red light warning on the recommmendation. Conversely, the green light is a go ahead to enjoy this item.
8. What is the purpose behind rating reviews?
Other users put effort in writing their reviews just as you surely do. It's motivating to discover people found your reviews helpful, funny, or original, so return the favor by awarding credit to noteworthy reviews. The popular reviews will climb up the review ladder for the reviewed item, and perhaps even find themselves on the spotlight review section for all to enjoy.
